What’s the difference? Work vs. Job

  • JOB – NOUN
    A regular activity that a person does, an occupation, a profession.
    You usually receive money for doing a job.
    EXAMPLES: Do you have a full time job? I love my job.
  • WORK – NOUN/VERB
    The word WORK is more general then JOB. Work refers to the activities done to accomplish a goal.
    Work can be done inside a job, or outside a job.
    Work can be a verb.
    Work can be an uncountable noun.
    EXAMPLES: I work for 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. I have some work to do at home this weekend.
